Welcome to the Gil-Sanz Lab
The main interest of our lab is the understanding of the mechanisms involved in neural stem cells division and specification.
We are particularly interested in the cellular and molecular mechanisms used by cortical neural stem cells to generate cellular diversity in the neocortex and in the possible role of cell adhesion molecules regulating these processes.
A second research line of the lab is related with the study of the activation dynamics of neural stem cells of the subventricular zone throughout postnatal development.
